Top 5 Major Asus Zenfone 5 Problems & How To Fix them

Asus Zenfone 5 smartphone has released a couple of years ago, and still, it’s been a primary device for most of the users. The 5-inch smartphone comes with Jellybean and can upgradable to Lollipop version of Android. But as the increase usage, issues occur on the mobile and also Asus Zenfone 5. Poor Battery-Life

Issue: Asus Zenfone 5 battery life is very poor. Well, this issue is very common in all smartphones. Because of many apps running on background or data/Wi-Fi always connected effects battery life very much. Even though Asus Zenfone 5 smartphone comes with Li-Po 2110 mAh battery, there seem to be issues with poor battery life. Asus Zenfone 5 battery drain is very fast. Just go through some possible precautions to resolve the issue

Solution: Turn off your mobile data first, Wi-Fi connection or GPS or Bluetooth when not in use. Click to close unnecessary apps running in the background to save your mobile battery life. You can check your battery status in settings >> battery. Also, clear cache files and remove unwanted apk files. Always, use original battery chargers for charging your device as duplicate chargers will discharge the battery sooner.

Lag in performance

Issue: All the mobile handset has this lag issue, and it seems to be another common issue on the Android devices. Usually, the device gets lag in performance after few months of usage but by performing certain tasks, we can speed up the phone for better performance

Solution: To avoid the issue of lagging, the first and foremost thing you can do is turn off the animations. For that, you need to enable the developer options of the device, and that can be done by tapping few times on the ‘Build Number’ under ‘Settings>About>Software Information’. Once enabled, you can see the options under your device settings. Open them and scroll down to find the animation settings where they were the point to 1X by default. Now, turn them off or reduce them to 0.5X for increase the performance of the device.

Remove the cache files from the app manager and by Clicking on ‘Clear Cache’ button. If the issue of lagging still exists, then try to clear the cache of the device. For that, you need to turn off the phone and enter into the recovery mode. Press and hold volume up and power button at the same time after turning off the phone. Release the keys as soon as you see the menu and using volume down and power button, select and confirm the ‘Recovery’ button. Now, go for ‘Wipe cache partition’ and when done, select and confirm ‘Reboot system Now.’ By now, the problem of lagging should have resolved and if not you can try a factory reset as the last resort.

Poor pixel master camera quality

Issue: Camera quality is very low in Asus Zenfone 5. If you are searching for solutions on how can increase camera quality in your Asus Zenfone 5. Read some possible solutions for this. Although, drastic change in image quality is impossible still you will get positive results.

Solution: Try using any other camera app from play store. There are many excellent camera apps which can add more features to your Zenfone mobile. Like camera 360 Ultimate etc.

Overheating issues

Solution: Never use the handset when it is plugged in for charging and try to remove the case when charging the device. Check all the apps, if the issue continues. There is a chance that few apps may cause an overheating issue by overloading the processor. So, check app, which app is using more processor and try to uninstall it. Fix overheating issues in Asus mobile, to avoid playing games like Asphalt , FIFA etc. for a long time. Also, avoid using the phone while on charging.

Micro SD card reinserted Notification randomly

Issue: micro SD card reinserted notification. If you are getting Micro SD card reinserted notification in Asus Zenfone 5 there could be two reasons responsible for it. First, there is the defect in your SD card & device is unable to read properly.

Solution: First, check if SD card is properly inserted in SIM tray or not. Take away and again insert SD card again in SIM tray. If you got message after installed any app then reinstall the app. Sometimes clearing cache files could be useful too. After following these steps, if the problem is still there and format your SD card and it’s gone.

Wi-Fi Issues

Issue: Issues connecting Zenfone 5 with Wi-Fi. If your Asus smartphone is giving you troubles while connecting to Wi-Fi then go through some possible solutions.

Solution: Asus Zenfone disconnects from Wi-Fi automatically. Sometimes it could be due to your ISP (internet server provider) issue. Try connecting your smartphone to any other Wi-Fi to check this problem. If Wi-Fi disconnects at the middle of any task then Go to settings >> Wi-Fi. Choose your Wi-Fi connection and select Forget network. Now reconnect with your Wi-Fi connection and check whether the problem is gone.
